Today is Veteran's Day.

Do you have a Veteran in your life?

Bonus Point for the day:

Use one of these quotes in layout honoring your veteran and post here:

But the freedom that they fought for, and the country grand they wrought for,
Is their monument to-day, and for aye.
~Thomas Dunn English

It is easy to take liberty for granted, when you have never had it taken from you.
~******** Cheney

In war, there are no unwounded soldiers.
~José Narosky

How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!
~Maya Angelou

Love the quote from Cheney!!!

My father and brother were both in the military after graduating from military schools (Citadel and West Point). Both did tours in Korea, too.

My hubby has recently applied for (and received) a veterans pin - despite only being 52, and having only served for 3 years between 1974 and 1977. One of the chaps selling poppies in our local supermarket had one on, and was surprised when I said hubby didn't have one as best I knew. So I was given a form which hubby completed, and the pin was back with us within a week :)

Love the quotes, but don't think I can do anything with them --- no photos of hubby in uniform, and he's coming out of hospital inthe next hour or so, so I can't see me getting any crafting time today :(
